ParticipationPROCAMS 2009 invites submissions of three types: technical papers, posters, and demos. Details are given in the sections below. A "best paper award" will be given to the top technical paper selected by the program committee. This year's workshop places emphasis on (but is not limited too) all technical, systems, and theoretical aspects related to projector-camera (light source/sensing) systems used in the following areas: Scene Capture Display Augmentation Interaction Mobility Optical Communication Art and Aesthetics Wide Application of Projector Camera Systems
Technical Papers We encourage the submission of technical papers for oral presentation. If your paper could be accompanied by a hands-on demonstration, we encourage you to also submit a separate technical demonstration proposal (see below). Paper submissions not accepted for a full oral presentation might be offered the opportunity for a poster presentation. Submissions can be up to 8 pages in length. They should be "camera ready" PDF files (only) with full author names and affiliations (reviews are not blind), prepared in the CVPR format. Include supplemental pictures and/or video if appropriate and possible. Videos should be in a common format, e.g., MPEG-1, MPEG-4, XviD, or DivX. Proceed to the Online Submission System Important Instructions for Video Submissions to Authors: Submission Deadline: Note: We will ask authors to explicitly commit to personally attend the workshop to present accepted papers, or to arrange for a suitable replacement presenter. Posters/DemoWe invite the submission of two-page proposals for technical or art-related poster presentations. Posters might describe recently completed work, work in progress, or publicly presentable ideas for unimplemented and/or unusual systems or applications. Posters are limited to 2-pages and should describe innovative and emerging ideas in the area of projector-camera systems. Accepted poster papers will require that at least one author attends the workshop to present the poster in an open poster session. Submissions can be up to 2 pages in length. They should be "camera ready" PDF files (only) with full author names and affiliations (reviews are not blind), prepared in the CVPR format. We also invite proposals for technical and artisic demonstrations during the planned demonstration/exhibit session. Researchers with accepted demonstrations may be awarded a limited grant to help defray related expenses. Awards will be based on needs and available funds. Demo sketches are limited to 2-pages and should describe innovative and emerging ideas in the area of projector-camera systems. Accepted demo sketches will require that at least one author attends the workshop to present the poster in an open poster session. Submissions can be up to 2 pages in length. They should be "camera ready" PDF files (only) with full author names and affiliations, prepared in the CVPR format. Poster and demo submissions will be made by email. Deadline for camera-ready posters: April 30, 2009 (midnight EST) Note: We will ask authors to explicitly commit to personally attend the workshop to present accepted posters or demos, or to arrange for a suitable replacement presenter.
