Instructions for presenters
Full papers
- Timing: 15 minutes have been allocated to each presentation, including speaker setup, talk and question period. Each speaker will talk for 10 minutes, with 3 minutes being allocated for questions and 2 for transition.
- Important: Please be at the meeting room at least 15 minutes before the start of your session. Introduce yourself to your session chair, get any last-minute instructions from him/her, and make sure your laptop works. In particular, all speakers must verify before the session begins that the laptop & projector work together. Timing is tight and therefore delays in setting up your laptop after the session starts will decrease the time you have for your talk!
- Equipment:
Audio-visual equipment will be available in the room from 8:00am. There will be a floor-standing podium, small LCD projector with screen, and microphone. The projector's input is a 15-pin VGA port.
- Meeting room: You can find the floorplan and pictures of the meeting spaces here.
- Font size:
You must make sure to use large enough fonts so that your slides are readable from the back of the room. In particular, please keep font sizes to 22pt or larger.
- Speaker Prep Room: Boardroom West will be available to authors that wish to practice their talk on-site. There will be a reservation sheet outside the room door where authors can reserve the room for 30 minute blocks.
- Wireless ethernet: Wireless ethernet connectivity will be available throughout the building, including the session rooms.
Poster presentations
The information for poster presenters is the same as above except for the following differences.
- Timing: Posters will be shown during the breaks, and there will be short presentations betwen 15:30 and 16:10.
There will be 4 minutes per presentation with 1 minute transition. We would like
to get all presentations on a single laptop to allow fast transitions between
speakers.
- Equipment:
Posters will be presented on easels, and tables and power sockets will be available for demos.
- Poster boards: Each poster board is 4 feet (1.22m) high by 6 feet (1.83m) wide. Push pins and tacks can be used to mount posters on these boards.
